We were delighted to join in the 31st Afro Hair and Beauty Live shows which celebrates the fascinating diversity that is afro hair fashion and culture.
The event is a perfect opportunity to keep up to date with latest trends & products from well known brands as well as budding entrepreneurs, whilst taking a moment for a spot of pampering and bumping into an ole friend or two!!
There were strong and creative trends as well as great looks with the ever popular wigs and weaves. This year also saw a distinct trend in natural hair with lots of creative updos and quiff hairstyles.
The highlight for us this year was the Fantasy Hair Competition as it challenged the levels of creativity way beyond the usual comfort zone, all with the added pressure of an immediate audience response.
It was a great day out with a buzzing positive atmos. A job well done to the organisers, Black Beauty & Hair and superb host, Ms Gemma Feare (Miss Jamaica UK). who impressed everybody with her calm professionalism and engaging personality.
Afro Hair and Beauty Live is a must go, a rare opportunity to have a chance to view all the latest afro hair & makeup products and spot the latest trends!
